TWENTY TWELVE
The year 2011 has left us and we are now in the new year of twenty twelve. As for us all, I know that many things have happened throughout the year 2011 that have left us with joy & happiness, at times; anger, at times and even sadness. Throughout these various moments, it may not have felt good, some of the things that we were faced with in the year 2011, but we, as saints of God, must always remind ourselves that it is working out for our good. The Bible backs this up in Romans 8:28 and it states out of the New American Standard Bible, NASB translation, "And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
Now that the year twenty twelve is here, there are some words of encouragement that I would like to relay to everyone, as it has been given to me from my maternal grandmother, Reverend Sheldonia Brown.
When you feel like you are about to "explode" with anger and even feeling anxious about the situations you become faced with in this year twenty twelve, incorporate this:
As grandma's physician has said...
"Just B.R.E.A.T.H.E."
B. - Breathe
R. - Relax (take 7 deep breathes)
E. - Envision (what you have planned for that particular day)
A. - Apply what you are going to do for that day
T. - Treat yourself
H. - Heal yourself
E. - End it
Furthermore, knowing that sin is running rampart throughout this world, in these last and evil days, it is my personal challenge to the saints to God to be true disciples of Jesus Christ in this year twenty twelve. There is no time for half-stepping and compromising the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now is the time to really "get with it", if we say "for God we live and for God we die." Someone needs to hear how God delivered and saved your soul from a burning hell. To assist a sinner man, woman, boy or girl you can just simply say...
As grandma, herself, has said...
"It's up to your A.C.T.S. "
A. - Acknowledge the sins
C. - Confess to God those sins
T. - Thank God for
S. - Saving you.
another way to put it is also A.R.T.S.:
A. - Acknowledge the sins
R. - Repent of those sins
T. - Thank God for
S. - Saving you.
May this New Year, twenty twelve, be a blessed & prosperous one for you! Remember to keep God first in everything that you do.
Lastly, I encourage you as the apostle Paul did to the church in Corinth, as it is written in I Corinthians 15:58 (NASB), "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord."
