LGC's vision
MISSION:
It is the mission of LGC to be a light in this sin-tone world through the various affiliates, initiatives and extensions of the organization as a whole and also through the multiple components on the website, where all looks to give something positive back to the youth and adults. The first affiliate is that of Represent God which is a newsletter and the name used for the various conferences which provide youth, young adults and adults with inspirational speakers, fun activities and life-changing objectives on how the Bible states we are to Represent God in these last and evil days. The second affiliate is that of A 'cure for cancer' project which assists the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) in funding research to find cures for individuals from various ages, racial, and ethnic backgrounds battling different types of cancer. The third affiliate is that of The Reverend Sheldonia Brown Literacy Foundation which looks to decrease the number of youth within the United States and in Africa who are illiterate through encouraging an appreciation for reading.
Moreover, the first initiative from LGC is that of KINGDOMfit. This came about in December of 2011. This initiative looks to promote proper nutrition and exercise among Christians all over the world, so that effective disciples of Jesus Christ are maintained. The Scripture of declaration for this initiative is that of III John 1:2 (NIV), "Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well." The second initiative is that of Designed with a Destiny (D.W.A.D.) Kingdom Builders: A Christian Youth Development Program. It is the mission of this initiative which came about back in 2009, but was not actualized until the summer of 2013 (June 2013), to be an asset to developing youth of the 21st century. With having the belief that the world provides many options that many times results in negative consequences, this program looks to bring about positive engagement for the youth of today through introducing those involved with this program, to good, wholesome activities, events, and opportunities that will cultivate their developing minds. This is done through two components: a summer camp and an afterschool program. The last initiative is that of LGC Game. This initiative looks to bring families and friends together for a good, wholesome gaming experience. The first game was created on Friday, August 22, 2014 and was named, "Capture the token."
Lastly, as of September 17, 2013, the first two extensions of LGC became to be as follows: Gospel United Empowerment Studios [G.U.E.S.] where the radio broadcasts of "Real Kingdom Talk" & the "Represent God" online radio station is done through and lastly, Gospel United Empowerment [G.U.E.] Records , where the opportunity to be signed and produced and become a gospel recording artist are available. The third extension is the REVIVAL brand which was first exemplified through a magazine and now has become a clothing & fashion line. The fourth extension as of August 2016 is that of Landy's Gospel Creations-LGC Ministerial Institute, where we're 'proclaiming Biblical Truth' through Ministerial classes in order 'to initiate change.'
PURPOSE:
It is the purpose of LGC to be an effective resource and compelling source to all. (new purpose effective: May 16, 2019 at 1o a.m.) The extended purpose of this Christian non-profit organization is to help its members and supporters to focus upon God the Father through His Son Jesus Christ and to know the work of the Holy Ghost (John 16:5-15).
Through this effort, LGC looks to encourage the saints of God in asking God to give them the desire to have His will fulfilled in their lives and bring the sinner to confess their sins to God (I John 1:9) then confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, then they shall be saved (Romans 10:9).
The original motto of LGC was: "Possessing the land: 1 city at a time!" with the original foundation scripture for this ministry having been Deuteronomy 1:8. This is where Moses told the children of Israel when they had been wandering and camping in the plains of Moab for some time. Moses is building up their confidence and letting them know that God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19) and that scripture states, "'See, I have placed the land before you; go in and possess the land which the LORD swore to give to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to them and their descendants after them.'"
In light of this, having spent time in the presence of the Lord, it can be symbolically stated that the "heavenly Canaan" is what we as saints of God are looking forward to "possessing", since Jesus Christ has already fulfilled the law and the Prophets.
With that having been said, on Saturday, January 28, 2012 around 3:45 p.m. the Holy Ghost gave forth a revised foundation scripture and motto for LGC. This revised foundation scripture came from Romans 1:8 where the apostle Paul gives thanks unto God and edification to the saints of God in Rome for their continuing faith in God through Jesus Christ, having received the gospel in which was preached. He states, out of the King James Version, KJV translation, "First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world."
As of Friday, February 03, 2012 the official revised foundation scripture is now Philippians 1:12, which states, out of the New International Version, NIV, "Now I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that what has happened to me has actually served to advance the gospel." What the apostle Paul lets us know here is that we must continue to have faith in Jesus Christ through persecutions, trials and tribulations. As it was for the apostle Paul so it is the same for us; this is so the gospel of Jesus Christ may be advanced!
Furthermore, as Jesus Christ has stated in the gospel according to Matthew chapter 5 verse 16 , "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven", this is the major underlying principle of Romans 1:8. Everything we do for Jesus we must be real about it and the only way that can happen is through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Simply put, LGC's newest motto started off as: "Advancing the kingdom of God through faith in Jesus Christ!", but having spent time in the presence of the Lord, it is officially: "Advancing the Gospel through faith in Jesus Christ!" Not to be ignorant of this revised motto, it must be stated, once again, that this cannot be obtained unless we have the Holy Ghost leading, guiding and directing us in all truth!
GOAL:
It is the goal of LGC to provide all its members and supporters with accurate and enlightening spiritual information that will broaden their minds and enhance one's conversations or fellowships. This will be done through the "Rhema Topics" and even the Represent God: official newsletter for the church of the 21st century.
Through providing these resources, it is the extended goal of LGC to reach and develop Kingdom builders and not "pew warmers." This will be done through using Biblically-based principles that will equip the saints for the work of the service and edify the body-of-Christ (Ephesians 4:12).
All members and supporters have access, as given by the website, to the Represent God: official newsletter for the church of the 21st century along with upcoming events of LGC.
Moreover, through all of the various "members only" incentives provided for free, it is another extended goal of LGC to promote sensible spending which, in turn, endorses saving and investment of the extra funds. Furthermore, we look to inspire the hearts and minds of the 21st century disciples of Jesus Christ so that he or she will have a desire to be about their Father's business (John 9:4). Ultimately, LGC looks to be a "mover-and-shaker" in this sin-tone world through keeping with sound (Biblical) doctrine until the second coming of Jesus Christ!
created: Sunday, August 28, 2011 at 12 midnight; revised Saturday, January 28, 2012 around 4:23 p.m. Motto revised again, Friday, February 03, 2012 around 9:40 p.m.
