Psalm 122:1-2 (King James Version, KJV)
1 I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.
2 Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.
An in-depth analysis of Psalm 122
- This particular Psalm is one that shows forth the joy of the Jews of Judah (southern kingdom) when being released from Babylonian captivity by Cyrus, king of Persia in 539 BC (a song of ascents).
- This release will allow them to return to their homeland of Jerusalem.
- It also originally displays the joy of David (of David) in reference to being able to attend the solemn feast in Jerusalem in the tabernacle, because it was quite an honor to have such an opportunity.
An in-depth analysis of Psalm 122 ("A song of ascents" emphasis)
- Furthermore, this particular Psalm has relevance to the seventy-year exile of the Jews of Judah, as recorded in greater detail in the books of II Kings, II Chronicles, Ezra, Jeremiah, Ezekiel & Daniel.
- (There are so many books that record this captivity because of the many years that they were in captivity).
- II Kings 24---25 along with II Chronicles 36 takes into account when their captivity began and Ezra 1:1-11 along with Jeremiah 29:10-14 is where the prophetic word about their deliverance or the coming end to their captivity is found.

A closer look…Psalm 122:1-2
- They had just been given the proclamation about returning home, but their joy began right there! (v. 1)
- Their hearts & minds were in Jerusalem, but they were literally in Babylon. (v. 2)
- There is joy and excitement, about being delivered, felt in just these two verses alone.

Life Application
- No matter the situation, let us learn to begin to praise God right where we stay (Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times…”). ("A song of ascents")
- This is so that by the time we get to God’s house it will not be strange or uncommon for us to praise Him in His house, because we would have already been praising God in the house He has blessed us with! (of David)
- This is to say, let’s start…
- praising & worshipping God in our homes (II Corinthians 10:4-5, “The weapons of our warfare…”)
- fasting, praying and studying the word-of-God in our homes
- home—not just our addresses, but our bodies, knowing that God’s Spirit dwells within (I Corinthians 3:16).

Proverbs 3:5
- Trust in the Lord ---COMPLETELY DEPEND UPON THE LORD.
- With All your heart ---NOT PARTIALLY, BUT TOTALLY.
- Lean not on your own understanding---seek the counsel of the Lord!
Proverbs 3:6
- NOT IN SOME OF OUR WAYS, but in all our ways, let us acknowledge the Lord, so that our lives will be in line with his will for our lives.
- The BIBLICAL EQUATION OF Verses 5-6:
If WE,
Trust in the Lord with all [our] heart + lean not on [our] own understanding + in all [our] ways submit to him = [God] WILL MAKE [our] paths straight.

Proverbs 3:7
- There is no person more FRUSTRATED and FULL OF ANXIETY than a person who is being wise in their own eyes.
- PROVERBS 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Proverbs 3:8
- When we begin to relieve ourselves of WORRYING, being anxious, DEPRESSED, and FULL OF STRESS, our bodies can begin to bring about positive health results for us.
- The BIBLICAL EQUATION OF Verses 7-8:
If WE,
DO NOT BE WISE IN [OUR] OWN EYES + FEAR THE LORD AND SHUN EVIL = THIS WILL BRING HEALTH TO [OUR BODIES] AND NOURISHMENT TO [OUR] BONES.
A FINAL POINT to be made!
- We must always remember that it is not our will, but God’s will to be done in our lives.
- What we go through in life, many times may not feel good, but let us remind ourselves that it is working out for our good.
- Romans 8:28:
- “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

The initial name of this broadcast was "Morning Inspirations” w/ Min. Frederick A. Landy (October 2010---December 2010). As the Holy Ghost has given the unction, it has been more recently been changed to "Real KINGDOM Talk" w/ Pastor Frederick A. Landy (January 2012...). As given, "Real Kingdom Talk" was a spin-off from "Morning Inspirations." As of September of 2013, this broadcast will now be recorded in the Gospel United Empowerment Studios [G.U.E.S.], an up and coming music and media studio that is an extension of Landy's Gospel Creations-LGC.
